What is beauty?

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" or so the saying goes...But who is the beholder really? Is it the part of you that compares yourself to other people? Well if so then it would be really easy to see yourself as more beautiful than this person or less beautiful than another person. It would be really easy to think you were lacking beauty because our culture - which is a culture that oppresses the human spirit by conditioning our minds with fear and judgement- imposes an illusionary model for beauty so we keep believing we must buy this product or have outside validation to feel beautiful. But what if the beholder was your Higher Self? Your Higher Self- the wisdom, love and compassion within your being- knows that every creation in this glorious Universe is the definition of beauty.

Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines the word 'beauty' as "the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit". What give us pleasure to the senses? That depends on our state of consciousness. Love Consciousness which is the consciousness of the Higher Self has its own vision. It sees every human in its true form even if that human can't see it.  It sees a profound, complex, powerful and magical being capable of myriads of emotions, thoughts and creations. It sees the cycle of life and its connection to all living forms. It sees the truth that comparison is an illusion because we are all One Consciousness co-creating this beautiful world. There is no separation. Would you compare one flower's worth to another? Would you compare one ocean's worth to another? We are nature. We are magical. We are more beautiful than our minds can comprehend at this stage in our evolutionary consciousness. So the next time you look in the mirror and are tempted to think negatively just say "I'm made of stardust baby. I'm a celestial god/goddess and I honor the beautiful form I'm in. "
